Therapy for Children
Young brains are still growing and have the capacity to heal through safe, supportive relationships. This isn't an adult therapy made smaller; it's designed from the ground up using child-centered research on neuroplastic symptoms and developmentally attuned methods. I use play-based activities instead of heavy conversations.
Whether your child is experiencing chronic pain, dizziness (such as PPPD), or fatigue (with doctors confirming there are no structural or pathological findings), I help them understand that symptoms are still 100% real even when nothing is physically wrong. The brain is meant to be protective, but can become overprotective, like an alarm system that won't stop ringing. Just as it learned to be overprotective, it can unlearn that pattern too.
Because a child's nervous system is still flexible and developing, there's a unique window of opportunity. Changes made now can take hold at their emotional source rather than just managing surface effects.
I work with children as young as eight years old.
Therapy for Teens
Teen brains are at a turning point, actively reshaping how they handle emotions, relationships, and stress. Like younger children, they have the capacity to heal through safe, supportive relationships. I use methods shaped by teen neurodevelopment, drawing from research on neuroplastic symptoms, developmental psychology, and attachment science. My approach meets teens where they are while respecting their growing independence.
We start with clear explanations about how their brain is meant to be protective and can become overprotective. Understanding that symptoms can come from an overprotective threat detection system rather than physical damage can help to address fear. We work on building practical skills for addressing symptoms. We also explore avoided behaviors and emotions, opening space for a greater felt sense of safety in the body.
Observing what comes up without immediately reacting remains a resource. This skill finds use in decisions, relationships, and handling pressure in whatever comes next.
Therapy for Adults
I use methods shaped by neuroscience, attachment, and research on how emotional patterns develop and shift. These approaches address how symptoms form and how they can change over time. You remain an active partner, with sessions focused on practical change and deeper understanding.
Your symptoms are real, even when nothing is structurally wrong in the body. The brain's protection system can become overactive, sounding alarms where there is no physical threat. This pattern was learned, and it can be unlearned.
When we feel threatened, we have natural emotions like anger or sadness. Sometimes these feelings get blocked because they felt unsafe or too much to handle. Instead of being felt, they can turn into anxiety, and your body builds up habits to avoid them (staying busy, pushing through, people-pleasing, or shutting down). Those defenses protect you short-term, but over time your body may hold that tension as pain, dizziness, or fatigue. When we create a space to observe and attend to the feelings and work through them, your body can learn it doesn't need to carry that weight anymore.
Coaching
Coaching focuses on building practical tools and techniques to help address neuroplastic symptoms. Coaching centers on skill-building and actionable strategies for addressing symptoms. Together, we build a toolkit for you.
